About the event


Ages 12 - adult


This class is designed for beginner photographers to understand their digital camera settings to capture quality photographic images.

The class will include an explanation of photographic composition and exposure using shutter speed and aperture settings.

Emphasis will be on hands-on demonstrations using your digital camera; therefore, please bring your digital camera with fully charged battery and your user manual.


Instructor: William Michaels is a marine biologist and photographer. Navigating across oceans and continents with camera in hand, he brings four decades of interdisciplinary expertise in science and photography to inspire public awareness and our next generation of professionals on the benefits of protecting our planet’s wildlife and natural habitats.
