The Rockville Makerspace and Tool Library empowers the people of Montgomery County, Maryland and surrounding areas to turn their ideas into reality by applying a wide range of new and old technologies. We provide affordable access to tools, training, workspace, and a growing community of creative and knowledgeable makers to help you with your projects. Doing it yourself is better with friends!

3D Printing

We currently have four 3D Printers that members can use to make simple or complex items in a wide variety of colors. The Bambu P1S allows you to make detailed prints as large as 10" by 10" by 10", and our Bambu A1 mini can print items up to 7" by 7" by 7". Both are fast and easy to use. We also have two Creality HI printers, one Prusa, and one Raise 3D large-format printer.

We charge 9 cents per gram of material, with a $3 minimum.

Laser Cutters/Engravers

After completing a brief training, members can cut and engrave materials including wood, cloth, acrylic, and even some thin metals with our xTools F1 Ultra and a Muse 3D lasers.

Reservations are recommended. Please contact Evan to reserve one of the lasers.
