A Place for All Ages
The Rockville Science Center is a place for ALL AGES to discover the wonders of science and connect with the scientific community in our region. We operate a Science Center and a Makerspace. Join us for a class, a camp, a lecture, or one of our special events. There's so much to discover!

Registration is required for all programs.
1:15 - 2:00 PM: Jr. Scientists & Jr Engineers (Ages 4-6)

Parents are welcome to stay and join in the fun (no charge for adults)
Explore the magic of STEM through play-based, hands-on learning experiences. A great first introduction to STEM.
2:30 - 4:30 PM: Ages 7-12

These 2-hour classes are a fantastic introduction to the more extensive afterschool and homeschool programs
that we offer on weekdays. Bring your child for a taste of the exciting world of STEM and we promise they'll be hooked!

5:00 - 7:00 PM: Teens & Adults

Looking for a fun learning experience you can share with your teen? Or maybe you and your friends want to do something different on the weekend than the same old routine. Join us for a 2-hour Saturday workshop where you can learn a new skill and have fun too!

The Rockville Science Center is committed to helping curious minds of all ages explore the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We love having fun doing science, but we also take seriously the responsibility of helping to develop the next generation of scientists. Through our science programs for all ages and our interactive science center, we work to cultivate a sense of inquiry, discovery, wonder and understanding of the scientific foundations of everyday life.
