Explorations! Field Trip

This is a free event, but registration is required. 

All ages welcome (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). 

Wear walking shoes and bring water, bug spray and sunscreen!

Join other Rockville Science Center enthusiasts as we explore “waterlilies by the acre” in production and demonstration ponds that attract visitors from around the globe. Lilypons specializes in ponds & water gardens, equipment, water plants, fish, feed & other supplies. Blooming season is mid-May through mid-September, so this is the best time to visit. 

The nursery gets its name from Alice Joséphine Pons (April 12, 1898 – February 13, 1976), known professionally as Lily Pons. She was a New York Metropolitan opera singer who visited Adamstown Maryland in 1936.
