He is a board member on the West Montgomery County Citizens Association, a former member of Montgomery County’s Water Quality Advisory Group appointed by County Executive Marc Elrich, a past board member of the Maryland Native Plant Society, co-founder of the Watts Branch Watershed Alliance, founder of the Coalition to Prevent Stream Destruction, a long-time volunteer supervisor for the Montgomery Parks Weed Warrior program, and was certified as a Maryland Master Naturalist.
