Two locations! Join us for Maker Day at the Rockville Science Center storefront (36C Maryland Ave) AND across the street at the Rockville Makerspace (33F Maryland Ave).
What is a Maker Day? Humans have been makers from the very beginning of our existence (think about the wheel...someone had to come up with the idea!). Some of the world’s greatest inventions are a result of natural human curiosity, love of tinkering, and the need to solve a problem. Of course, not every maker project is an amazing innovation, but the act of creating and working hands-on with technology, old and new, can be an enriching and educational experience for all ages. The Rockville Makerspace, a program of the Rockville Science Center, grew out of the need for a place for visitors to access tools and equipment to further their engineering and technology ideas.
