Join us to learn about microbiomes and the many ways that bacteria can both help keep us healthy as well as make us sick.
We'll delve into the complex and diverse communities of microorganisms that inhabit various environments, including the human body, plants, soil, water, and more. Everything from diet, weight, allergies, cancer, and brain health can be influenced by the microbiome. Join us and learn things such as:
- What is the microbiome and where can we find it?
- Bacteria and fungi – The Good, Bad, and Ugly
- How does our microbiome affect our mind and body?
- How does nutrition influence our microbiome and our health?
Hands-on project: After learning the benefits of good bacteria, learn how to make some sauerkraut to take home with you!
