All are welcome to join us on Zoom for the March edition of Rockville Science Tuesday. This month, we welcome back Bella Radant. Bella last presented on Osteogenesis Imperfecta in general and some of its extraskeletal manifestations. In this presentation she will talk about how animal models form the backbone of biomedical research. The interpretation of animal derived data, however, is oftentimes difficult and the findings thereof frequently fail to translate when adapted to humans. Using the disease Osteogenesis Imperfecta as a case study, this talk will discuss how animal models are developed and utilized. as well as how the results derived from these models are interpreted and utilized. The talk aims to build an understanding of how to interpret the results of animal studies…
