Most people with hearing loss say they can hear but not understand speech, particularly in noisy environments, and even when using the latest hearing aids. In this lecture, we will delve into all things hearing—hearing loss, finding a caring audiologist, how to buy hearing aids, communication strategies, and, for when hearing aids are not enough, assistive listening—all to help you hear your best. Practical handouts will be provided.
Our speaker: Audiologist Dr. Juliëtte Sterkens, TEDx Speaker, is an award-winning Wisconsin audiologist in her encore career as a consumer advocate for the non-profit Hearing Loss Association of America.
