The search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) is something that captures our imaginations and leaves lots of questions unanswered. Join us as we look at the history of the search, assumptions, and possibilities surrounding the topic of extraterrestrial intelligence. We'll talk about SETI in the radio spectrum, signal "leakage," intentional interstellar communications and the Drake equation. So much to explore: Where is everybody? The WOW! signal. What do we do if a signal is found? Should we advertise? Where is SETI today?
Our speaker: Richard Colarco, is currently the treasurer and a docent at the National Capital Radio and Television Museum. He has a BS in physics, and advanced degrees in operations research and education. Mr. Colarco directed airborne reconnaissance operations in Korea, and…
