Topic: Biopharmaceuticals are critical for modern medicine but are notoriously difficult to manufacture and measure consistently. This talk explores NIST’s toolkit for standardizing this complex lifecycle: the NISTmAb, a widely used protein reference standard, and NISTCHO, a "living" cell line reference material designed to produce an antibody. Learn how these complementary standards enable researchers to benchmark everything from the biological "factory" to the final therapeutic product, ensuring the safety and quality of the next generation of drugs.

Our Speakers:

Dr. Megan Cleveland is a Research Biologist in the Applied Genetics Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). She received her Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and her B.S. in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University. At NIST, Dr. Cleveland’s research…
