Biomechanics and physics have a long history in the scientific discovery and investigation of human movement. We will explore the technology and study of human biomechanics: past, present, and future. Specifically, current clinical and research applications will illustrate how 3D motion capture is used in the treatment of pediatric and adolescent movement disorders and sports medicine injuries.
Dr. Tulchin-Francis studies how surgery and other treatment options improves the function and lives of young patients. She holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in biomedical engineering and a PhD in Kinesiology- Biomechanics.
