Marvelous Makers & Game Coding in Python

Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ages 8-13

Join us for a full week of hands-on learning as we explore the intersection of science and art in the morning and have fun creating games using Python computer language in the afternoon. Campers will enjoy lunch and free-time from noon-1:00 pm (bring a bagged lunch and drink).

Our morning Marvelous Makers program includes: 

- 3D design 

- 3D print Lithophane 

- Laser cutting/ engraving 

- Painting with milk & learning about surface tension

 - Paper Marbling

 - Making Bath Bombs

In the afternoon, campers will have fun creating games in this beginner level class using the popular and powerful Python computer language and the Raspberry Pi. Fundamental computer programming principles are taught step-by-step with each lesson building on the previous one enabling campers to create a fun, interactive game using their own design with images they create. Principles and techniques learned in these lessons have unlimited applications in not only gaming but in robotics, art, science, and engineering.
