Join other Rockville Science Center supporters on a docent led tour of the county's recycling center to learn how our trash is recycled. Since its inception in 1991, thousands of school children, adults and seniors have toured the Recycling Center and received a first-hand look at how recyclables are processed and learned about the benefits of recycling. Revenue generation typically equals or exceeds operating costs. More than numbers, however, it is the spirit of service and constant improvement at the Recycling Center that make the facility such an important part of the community.
