Community STEM Day

Bring the whole family and join us for an afternoon of STEM exploration with exhibitors from around the region. This event is FREE and open to all. RSVP isn't required but does help us plan. Feel free to stop by anytime between 1:30 and 4:30 PM. Here's what we have on tap for December:

• ASM Educational Center: Explore Scratch JR and LEGO Education SPIKE™ Essential

• Inspire Labs, Inc: hands-on NASA Astro Camp-aligned activities for grades K - 6

  1) Straw & Stomp Rockets: Kids design fins/noses, predict flight, and test launches while learning about thrust, stability, and iteration.

  2) Pocket Solar System + Planet Finder: Learners build a scale “pocket” model and use simple math to compare distances, orbits, and why seasons differ.

• Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection- Zero Waste Programs: Check out the worm bin and learn about vermicomposting.
