About the event

Join us in the Rockville Makerspace (2nd floor of Rockville Memorial Library) for a family science talk and activity by Shyama Bhatt, our reigning Miss Rockville and neurosurgery fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Shyama will give a presentation to families with the hope of inspiring attendees about what it means to be a woman in STEM and a delegate under the Miss America Organization. Outside of her career aspirations, she is heavily involved in the community working on her community service initiative: Project Health. Shyama will be competing for the title of Miss Maryland this June.
