The 100 Black Girls STEAM! Certification empowers Black girls in middle and high school to explore STEM + Arts fields. To ensure continued success, this presentation explores the unique needs and possibilities of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) for informal educators and community partners to build a culture of collaboration and cultivate our future generation’s Black Women STEAM Leaders!
Speaker: Trained aerospace engineer and ballerina, Jasmine L. Sadler, MBA is the CEO and visionary of The STEAM Collaborative where she lives her life on purpose innovating programs to develop culturally responsive educational leaders. She is a doctoral student in educational leadership with a vision to own and run a STEAM University. She recently published her first book entitled Balancing Your Own Center of Gravity: A Manual for Hyperproductive STEM Professionals. Jasmine serves as an American Association for the Advancement of Science IF/THEN Ambassador where she has a full-size statue in her likeness displayed at the Smithsonian. The #DancingRocketScientist delivers her inspirational testimony internationally, and works as an operations project management consultant for multiple non-profit STEM Education organizations @theSTEAMcollab.
