Explorations!: National Radio and Television Museum

August 25, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Explorations! Field Trips offer Rockville Science Center supporters the chance to take a more in-depth look at science or technology at work in a particular outdoor location or science/technology-related organization in the Rockville-DC area, and to meet and enjoy the company of other RSC supporters. Unless specified otherwise, our Explorations! Field Trips are open to adults and children aged 10 and older, with an accompanying adult required for those under 18.

Join other Rockville Science Center Supporters as we go on a tour of the National Capital Radio and Television Museum to learn about technology that dramatically shaped our lives after the 1920’s. We will explore the history of radio from depression-era cathedrals and post-War plastic portables to the development of radio with pictures (a.k.a. television), as well as the history of broadcasting and much more. We look forward to seeing you there!
