Summer STEM Camps
Summer is a great time to learn something new and have fun, too! Rockville Science Center offers full-day STEM camps (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
for children and teens ages 7-14. Check out the options below and sign up today! You can view all of Rockville Science Center's camps and classes on Eventbrite.
Discounts & Financial Aid
The Rockville Science Center strives to keep our fees affordable. Scholarships are available to children who qualify for free lunch at school. We also offer 10 - 20% discounts for siblings and those signing up for more than one camp. If you qualify for a discount, email info@rockvillesciencecenter.org for instructions on how to register.
Science Explorers & Marvelous Makers

Ages 7-14
Our hands-on Science Explorers program includes the following topics:
- Making clay brains from fish to Human, Human brain development, neurons, mindset, responses to fear & stress...
- Nutrition (Mining for iron in a cereal box)
- Strawberry DNA extraction & hereditary diseases
Our Marvelous Makers program includes:
- 3D design
- 3D print Lithophane
- Laser cutting/ engraving
- Painting with milk & learning about surface tension
- Paper Marbling
- Making Bath Bombs

The Life Sciences program includes the following topics:
- Scientific Method
- Natural Selection
- Carbon Dating

The Technology program includes:

- C++ language
- Programming an Arduino to control LEDs, Motors and Sensors
- Put your skills to work to build an Autonomous Car

Camp Policies
Photo Release
By registering for a class or other event, I consent to Rockville Science Center's use of myself and/or my child’s image and likeness as shown in any photographs, videotapes, motion picture film, or electronic images and any audio recordings made of the participant’s voice in whatever way Rockville Science Center desires, including television, print, website, and social media platforms. Furthermore, I consent that such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images shall be the sole property of Rockville Science Center.
RSC's Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a registration, please email us at info@rockvillesciencecenter.org as soon as possible. Cancellations received:
At least 7 days prior to the first day of camp: 100% of the ticket price (minus the fee) will be refunded.
Less than 7 days prior to the first day of camp: 50% of the ticket price (minus the fee) will be refunded.
Low Enrollment: In the event that the Rockville Science Center cancels a camp due to low enrollment, 100% of the ticket price including fees will be promptly refunded.
